You’re on Keto, and fruit is the enemy, right? Well, no, not exactly. It turns out that not all fruit is created equal.

There are a number of them that are perfectly fine to have for anyone following the Keto diet. Here are the five best fruit you can eat.

  1. Strawberries
  2. Strawberries are low in carbohydrates – an entire cup clocks in at around 11 grams. And, after not having any sugar, it’s almost like eating candy.

While it feels bad, there’s nothing wrong with indulging in this tasty little fruit morsel. Strawberries are the perfect addition to your breakfast eggs and bacon.

And here’s a pro tip for you. If you can get low-carb whipped topping, pair it with strawberries for an easy Keto dessert!

  3. Avocados
  4. Avocados may very well be the superstar of the Keto diet. They’re packed full of healthy fats, they’re low in carbs, and they go great with a variety of dishes.

And yes, avocados are technically a fruit.

Most of us are in love with them, and rightfully so. They go super well on salads and can even just be eaten in slices as a snack. Other creative Keto fans have stuffed them with bacon and cheese or baked eggs in them too.

The versatility of the humble avocado makes it a must-try. Plus, a full cup of avocado contains only 12 grams of carbohydrates.

  5. Raspberries
  6. While raspberries have slightly more carbs than strawberries, they’re still a great Keto addition. At 15 grams per cup, you can have these tasty berries as a snack or dessert.

They also go great on salads or with low-carb yogurt.

Just make sure that you measure them correctly, or you could quickly decimate your carb count. While raspberries are fine in moderation, it’s way too easy to go overboard.

  7. Blackberries
  8. Many people who go on the Keto diet report bowel issues. This is likely due to a lack of fiber. If you’ve had this problem, then you might want to start having a few blackberries every day.

They’re tasty, at just 14 grams per serving are low in carbohydrates, and a cup of them will give you around 8 grams of fiber.

Use your blackberries to make smoothies and Keto-friendly desserts. I may feel like you’re cheating on your diet, but you won’t be. And you’ll thank yourself later.

  9. Lemons
  10. Lemons are another fruit that makes an excellent addition to the Keto diet. Squeezing a bit of lemon juice into your water helps you to avoid calorie-laden beverages. It’s a great trick to use if you get bored drinking plain water.

However, it’s also great on fish or chicken. You’d be amazed at the difference in taste just a tiny bit of lemon juice makes. Use a bit of it, some butter, and garlic to dress up bland seafood, chicken, or vegetables.

Not to mention, lemons are the item on our list with the lowest number of carbohydrates. Eating a whole fruit will only set you back 5 grams of carbs. That means you can be quite generous with it in your dishes and drinks.
